Marin Humane Seeks Owner Of Lost Dog

San Rafael officers scooped up a small dog that was running loose at a shopping center Tuesday night.

SAN RAFAEL, CA — Police in San Rafael are hoping someone will recognize a small dog that officers took in after it was seen running loose at the Northgate One shopping center in San Rafael.

Police shared a photo of the fluffy pup after someone called about a small dog roaming in the Terra Linda neighborhood around 9:45 p.m. Tuesday.

"Officers searched local postings and social media to see if anyone had reported the dog missing and could not locate a possible owner," the department wrote on Facebook. "The dog was taken to the police station, put in an interest card to be a future K-9, and was then picked up by Marin Humane.
