The event aims to create a fun experience in which children can visit surprise holiday characters, take a photo and receive a gift, the Sheriff’s Office said.

The Sheriff’s Office held its first toy giveaway at the Southern Marin substation in 2008. The Point Reyes event will be the agency’s first.
