Marin Town Readies To Inaugurate Skateboarding Competition
The March 26 event will feature DJ's and music. Refreshments will be served and some gear offered at the event.
FAIRFAX, CA — The town of Fairfax is readying to hold its first skateboarding competition next month.
The Fairfax Skate Contest will be held March 26 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Fairfax Skate Park.
The contest will be split into four age groups; 8 years of age and under, 9-to 12-year-olds, 13-to 16-year-olds, and those over 16.

A free week of Fairfax Recreation Skate Camp this summer will be awarded among other prizes that are “in the works,” town officials said.

“Fairfax Recreation is excited to announce its FIRST Skateboarding Contest this spring,” town officials said in a statement.
“We partnered with our friends around the area and PRIZES are in the works.”
