San Rafael Farmers Market Cancelled

But the group that runs the San Rafael Farmers Market indicated the farmers market is likely to return next year.

SAN RAFAEL, CA — San Rafael’s popular downtown summer farmers market has been cancelled for the rest of this year.

The group that runs the San Rafael Farmers Market announced on its website that it plans to “reflect” on its recent experiences but indicated the farmers market is likely to return next year.

The Agricultural Institute of Marin’s stated mission is to help facilitate the connection between communities, responsible farmers and producers as part of a healthy, equitable local and regional food system, the group’s website says.

“AIM will not be running the San Rafael Summer Market in 2022,” the group said on its website.

“We are taking a year off to reflect on our experiences in 2021, determine what is most important for the community, and what is financially viable for our farmers, small food businesses, and artisans. We look forward to seeing you in 2023!”
