San Rafael Readies For Weekend Freeway Closure
The northbound Highway 101 Central San Rafael off-ramp will be closed for 55 hours as crews work on replacing an off-ramp bridge.
SAN RAFAEL, CA — A section of a Marin freeway will be closed this weekend as crews continue their work on an ongoing project.
The northbound Highway 101 Central San Rafael off-ramp will be closed for 55 hours as crews work on replacing an off-ramp bridge, Caltrans said.
The closure starts Friday at 7 p.m. and runs through Monday at 5 a.m., Caltrans said.

Caltrans said the dates and times are subject to change.
Caltrans is asking motorists to familiarize themselves with detours that can be found on the agency’s project website.

“Motorists are advised to drive with caution and follow all posted directional signs,” city officials said in a statement.
“Residents and businesses may temporarily experience increased noise levels during this operation. This work is a part of several on-going construction projects along US-101, starting at the Golden Gate Bridge, progressing through Sausalito, and concluding in San Rafael until early winter of 2021.”
