Semiautomatic Firearm Found In Marin Traffic Stop

The loaded gun was unregistered, the Marin County Sheriff's Office said.

MARIN COUNTY, CA — A Marin traffic stop late Friday night led to discovery a semiautomatic firearm and a suspect’s arrest on unspecified weapons charges, authorities said.

A deputy at around 10:30 p.m. pulled over a vehicle with heavily tinted windows and conducted a search after the driver was found to be on parole, the Marin County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release on its Facebook page.

A passenger found to be in possession of a 10mm semiautomatic pistol was arrested and taken to Marin County Jail, the Sheriff’s Office said.
