MARIN COUNTY, CA — Marin County's Department of Public Works is slated to begin storm damage repairs Tuesday on Goodhill Road in Kentfield. As part of the project, contractors will install a 70-foot-long retaining wall to stabilize the area where a slide happened in December.

Officials estimate the repairs will take six to eight weeks to complete. The project will help protect water mains, gas lines, sewer pipes and power poles from destabilization during future storms.

For residents who regularly drive through Kentfield, there may be several interruptions on Goodhill Road, near Treetop Way, over the coming weeks. Traffic impacts will be possible daily between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m., and officials said vehicles could face regular delays of up to 15 minutes.
