1 Arrested, 1 On The Loose After San Ramon Robbery

Officials have identified the person arrested last week after a Stoneridge mall chase but believe his partner remains on the loose.

SAN RAMON, CA — Authorities have identified a 22-year-old Oakland man as the person arrested in connection with a San Ramon robbery after a brief police chase through Macy's in Stoneridge Shopping Center.

Fajon Green was arrested after the San Ramon robbery and another at a golf course in unincorporated San Mateo County. San Mateo County sheriff's officials believe he has a robbery partner who remains on the loose.

The San Ramon robbery was reported just after 11 a.m. Thursday on Baker Way, San Ramon Police Capt. Denton Carlson said in an email. There were no injuries.

The victims were pulling into their garage when they were approached by two people reportedly armed with a gun, Carlson said. The victims lost jewelry, cell phones, a purse and a wallet.

Earlier that morning, Green and another person allegedly stole a Rolex watch and a wallet at gunpoint from a person at Crystal Springs Golf Course at 6650 Golf Course Drive before fleeing in a silver Infiniti sedan, sheriff's officials said. There were no injuries in that incident either.

Alameda County sheriff's deputies located the suspects shortly after the San Ramon robbery at the Stoneridge Shopping Center in Pleasanton. Both suspects allegedly ran when deputies tried to speak with them. Green was apprehended in the Macy's store and the other suspect got away, sheriff's officials said.

Property from the San Ramon robbery was in Green and the other suspect's vehicle at the Stoneridge Shopping Center, according to San Ramon police.
