Bomb Threat At San Ramon Police Department Appears To Be Hoax

The building was evacuated out of an abundance of caution and thoroughly searched, police said.

SAN RAMON, CA — The San Ramon Police Department said a bomb threat called in Wednesday morning to its station appeared to be a hoax.

Police said on Twitter that they received a phone call containing vague information about a bomb threat. The building was evacuated out of an abundance of caution and thoroughly searched.

No suspicious devices were found and officials believe that the threat was not credible, police said.

Detectives are investigating the call in hopes to identify the person who placed the call, police said. Anyone with information about this threat is asked to call the police non-emergency line at 925-973-2779.
