Sand Bag Stations at San Ramon Parks, Bring Your Own Shovels

San Ramon Police Department remind residents that sandbags are available at no charge to help during this El Nino weather storm.

SAN RAMON, CA- With the strong storm continuing to hit the Bay Area, San Ramon Police Department (SRPD) want to remind residents that sandbags are available at Central Park, Athan Downs Park, and the San Ramon Sports Park parking lot.

In a Facebook post today, SMPD stated, "Look for the "Sandbag Station" sign and the sand will be covered by a blue tarp."

Sand and bags are provided free of charge but you will need to bring your own shovel.

The National Weather Service is forecasting more showers into Friday night with lows in the lower 60s, and south winds could reach 5 to 15 mph.

Saturday more wind and rainy. Highs will be in the 60s, and south winds could reach 20 to 30 mph. Wind gusts could reach 45 mph in the afternoon.
