Improvised Explosive Device Set Off At San Ramon Target, Prompting FBI Investigation
Burglars set off the device early Sunday morning, damaging a portion of the store.

SAN RAMON, CA — Burglars detonated an improvised explosive device at the Target in San Ramon, according to the San Ramon Police Department.
On Sunday at 2:19 a.m., police responded to a commercial burglary at the Target on 2610 Bishop Drive, according to a department news release. Upon arriving, they discovered that burglars had detonated the device to gain entry to an ATM machine. No one was injured, but damage was caused to a portion of the store's interior near the eastern entrance.
San Ramon police called the FBI to investigate, and police continue to work with the San Francisco FBI office on the investigation.

There is no immediate danger to the community, police said.
