CERT Emergency Training Classes Offered In San Ramon
The San Ramon Valley Fire Protection District is offering a free, 27-hour course in disaster preparedness.

SAN RAMON, CA — The San Ramon Valley Fire Protection District is offering a free Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Training Academy later this month. The multi-day, 27-hour course will teach residents vital emergency skills, including disaster preparedness, fire safety, medical triage, light search and rescue, team organization, and more.
Graduates can also continue their involvement with neighborhood activities and ongoing CERT training opportunities. Upon successful completion of CERT training, graduates are sworn in as Disaster Service Worker Volunteers able to assist crews during emergency events. The State of California Disaster Service Worker Volunteer Program are eligible for workers' compensation insurance if they are injure while performing assigned disaster duties.
CERT classes will be held Sept. 20, 21, and 27 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the San Ramon Valley Fire Protection District at 2401 Crow Canyon Road, Suite A in San Ramon.
