Lauren Barr Appointed San Ramon's Next Director of Community Development
The City of San Ramon is pleased to announce Mr. Lauren Barr as the City’s next Director of Community Development, effective August 25.
Barr has been part of the City of San Ramon’s Community Development Department for more than 18 years, most recently as Planning Division Manager since 2017, and brings more than 25 years of experience in City Planning.

“We are fortunate to have someone as deeply experienced in community development as Lauren," said City Manager Steven Spedowfski. ”He has been a valuable part of San Ramon's Community Development Department for many years, and we look forward to his continued contributions to the City.”

Presented in official partnership with the City of San Ramon and San Ramon Academy of Music, this one-hour concert features the San Ramon Chamber Ensemble, a state-sponsored student program showcasing the city’s top young classical musicians, plus a featured solo by 13-year-old pianist Aliya Gale. It’s a chance to hear world-class repertoire performed by the artists who are shaping the future of music in our community.

Fall Swim Lessons Now in Session
San Ramon Olympic Pool
Registration for Fall Swim Lessons is open! Fall sessions run from Monday, August 11 through Sunday, September 28 at the San Ramon Olympic Pool (9900 Broadmoor Dr, San Ramon CA 94583).
Learn to swim in a safe, fun environment with outdoor heated pools.
Parent-Tot classes for 6 months+, small group and private lessons, and adult lessons are all taught by the awesome ElitSwim staff.

San Ramon Teen Centers

Iron Horse or Pine Valley Middle Schools
San Ramon Teen Centers, conveniently located at Iron Horse and Pine Valley Middle School campuses, are opening Wednesday, August 13 with the start of the new school year!
Spaces are available and registration is open at both locations. The centers are open daily after school and offer homework assistance, socialization, and enriching activities for middle school students.

The City of San Ramon declares that monetary sums totaling $17,734.41 held by the City in the General Fund have remained unclaimed for a period over 3 years and will become the property of the City of San Ramon onAugust 23, 2025, a date not less than forty-five (45) days nor more than sixty (60) days after the first publication of this notice, in accordance with California Government Code Section 50050-50057.
