San Ramon Businesses Need Boost from Community

Nine businesses in San Ramon are vying for a $250,000 grant. Each company needs 250 votes to move to the second-round.

Nine San Ramon small businesses are hoping city residents will help them win a $250,000 grant this month.

According to the site, the Mission Main Street grant is offered by Chase bank to small businesses throughout the country that have been in business for a minimum of two years and have less than 100 employees. The winners pool is $3 million and will be awarded in $250,000 increments to 12 businesses to aid them in growing their businesses.

The San Ramon businesses registered for the grant includes:

  • Amcom
  • Apsinthe System
  • Borrowers at Risk of Foreclosure
  • California Environmental Services
  • Denis Roth Company Inc.
  • Godai Group
  • Greenlight Payments, Inc.
  • R Mo LLC
  • Schubros Brewery
In order to qualify for second-round consideration, each business must submit five essays as well as gather 250 votes of support on the sponsors' web site, with voters validated though a Facebook account.

Voting closes Nov. 15.
