San Ramon Police Say Driver Arrested In Stolen Car, With Gun
A surveillance camera detected the license plate and alerted police to a stolen car in the area, police said.
SAN RAMON, CA — The San Ramon Police Department said it arrested a person in a stolen car with a handgun loaded with a high-capacity magazine.
Surveillance cameras scanned the car's license plate as the driver drove through the area of Crow Canyon Road and San Ramon Valley Boulevard overnight, then alerted police to a stolen car, police said Thursday.
Officers stopped the driver in the Hyatt House San Ramon hotel parking lot and the driver surrendered, police said. Officers found the gun within the driver's reach, police said.
