San Ramon Residents Eligible For Omicron Booster Shots: CCHS
Contra Costa County is now accepting appointments and walk-ins for the booster shot against the most recent Omicron strains.
SAN RAMON, CA — Contra Costa Health Services is now offering Omicron booster shots to eligible recipients. The shots protect against the original coronavirus strain and newer Omicron variants.
As of Sept. 9, booster shots are eligible to anyone who has completed their primary vaccination series or gotten the last booster shot at least two months before they receive the Omicron booster. Vaccinated people 12 and older can receive Pfizer’s booster, while vaccinated adults 18 and older are eligible for Moderna’s booster.
Appointments can be scheduled online at CCHS’s website, or by calling CCHS at 833-829-2626. County vaccination sites also accept walk-ins. Omicron boosters are also available through health care providers and pharmacies.
