San Ramon Valley Diwali Celebration: Music, Dancers, Art, More

Here's what to expect at this year's Diwali event at City Center Bishop Ranch.

SAN RAMON, CA — The Festival of Lights is just around the corner and San Ramon Valley residents are invited to a Diwali celebration Saturday at City Center Bishop Ranch.

The outdoor event will include Indian music, Bollywood dancers, Rangoli art, henna tattoo artists and other activities, according to the shopping center.

Diwali, also known as Dipawali, is India's biggest holiday and takes place over five days. Celebrations feature a row of clay lamps lit to symbolize one's inner light, according to National Geographic.
