San Ramon Valley Village Elderly Care Nonprofit Seeks Volunteers
The new "village" aims to create a network of supportive care to help vulnerable seniors.
SAN RAMON, CA — Elderly people are too often isolated, without proper companionship or care. A new San Ramon nonprofit aims to change that, and is looking for volunteers.
San Ramon Valley Village is a newly-formed affiliate of East Bay Villages, which is part of a network of 400 "villages" across the country that aim to provide a safety net for vulnerable seniors and allow them to stay in their homes and communities. Volunteers offer companionship, transportation, home repairs, tech support, check-in calls, visits, and more.
The San Ramon Valley Village is seeking volunteers to perform a few hours of service each week so that the program can launch as soon as possible. They are looking for volunteers to help seniors, and to help direct and grow the organization. Anyone with experience in the following areas is encouraged to apply:
