Stolen Vehicle Leads Police on a Chase Ending in Dublin

A silver passenger vehicle with two suspects took San Ramon police on a 70-mph chase in the rain.

SAN RAMON, CA- San Ramon police officers chased a pair of auto burglary suspects who ultimately evaded the officers during the rain-drenched vehicle pursuit this morning in Dublin, according to police officials.

The pursuit originated with a call around 9:15 a.m. about a suspicious vehicle on Feathermint Drive and Melrose Court, Sgt. Hollis Tong said.

There, responding officers found a silver passenger vehicle with two suspects inside driving away from a parked vehicle that had its windows broken, Tong said.

The suspect vehicle did not yield to a traffic stop.

A pursuit commenced that went for about 5 miles into the city of Dublin, at speeds of up to 70 miles per hour, Tong said.

Eventually the pursuit was called off for safety reasons. Tong said police are following up on leads to identify the suspects.
