2 Arrested In $24K Contra Costa County Retail Theft Ring
Police said the pair are linked to at least 48 separate thefts in San Ramon and across the Bay Area.

SAN RAMON, CA — Two suspects believed to have stolen a total of $24,000 from stores across the Bay Area were arrested, the San Ramon Police Department announced Thursday.
Suspects Flutura Ian and Mariana Stanciu were arrested after allegedly stealing a large quantity of products from the Safeway supermarket in San Ramon, San Ramon police said. Investigators believe that the pair are responsible for five separate thefts at two Safeway stores in San Ramon, totaling nearly $9,500 in losses. They are also linked to 43 additional thefts across Bay Area Safeway stores, resulting in an additional $14,500 in losses.
Both suspects have been charged with 12 separate felony charges by the Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office.
