Thousands Without Power In San Ramon On 96-Degree Day

This marks the second large outage in the Tri-Valley power outage over the course of two sweltering hot days.

SAN RAMON, CA — 2098 customers are without power in San Ramon Thursday afternoon, according to PG&E.

The power went out in the area west of Alcosta Boulevard near Pine Valley Road at 1:43 p.m., according to PG&E. No cause or estimated restoration time was given. The outage comes on a day when San Ramon is baking under temperatures of 96 degrees. Residents should find an air conditioned place nearby like a library, shopping center, or friend's house for the duration of the outage.

On Wednesday, 2,142 customers lost power in western Pleasanton along Foothill Road for several hours, the latest of several outages in the city. Five Tri-Valley mayors and city managers recently met with PG&E leadership to discuss the ongoing power outage situation, according to the report.
