Here are the top three stories in Santa Barbara today:
- On Mar. 8, the National Weather Service issued a flood watch from late Thursday afternoon, Mar. 9, through late Friday night, Mar 10. for the "next three days," which would end on Mar. 11. A "good amount" of steady to moderate rain is predicted over Santa Barbara County until later tonight. (edhat.com)
- Santa Barbara Mayor Randy Rowse cut the ribbon for the new Inclusive Arts Clubhouse, located at La Cumbre Plaza in Santa Barbara. The goal of the clubhouse is to "foster a safe space where people who have cognitive or physical disabilities may express themselves in a studio accessible to them" with events and classes, including music and adaptive art therapy. - The Santa Barbara Fire Department responded to a structure fire on the 300 block of South Canada Street on Mar. 9. It only took about 15 minutes for the fire crews to extinguish the fire at the single-story residential unit. The cause of the fire is under investigation and no injuries were reported.
