- On Mar. 24, a Santa Barbara County Helicopter rescued four men who were trapped in a muddy area of eastern San Luis Obispo County. The vehicle had reportedly gotten stuck in the mud near Soda Lake and Seven Mile roads. None of the men needed to be transported to a local hospital for treatment. (Noozhawk)
- Santa Barbara County has added 19 new sites to its Housing Element, with a total of 2,151 new units. Possible new locations include downtown Santa Barbara County Probation Office, the parking lot next to Friendship Manor, three UCSB faculty housing site proposals, and the Four Seasons Resort The Biltmore parking lot and tennis area. On Friday, Santa Barbara County will formally submit its Housing Element to the state. (Noozhawk)
- The Santa Barbara Zoo's “El Dia del Niño,” children's day is back on Apr. 2! The free, family-friendly event celebrates the importance of children in the local community.
