Santa Monica Woman Arrested On Suspicion Of Fatal Hit-And-Run
A Santa Monica woman was arrested on suspicion of a hit-and-run crash that left an 85-year-old woman dead, Los Angeles police said.
SANTA MONICA, CA — A Santa Monica woman was arrested in a hit-and-run crash that killed an 85-year-old woman in Toluca Lake, police said Thursday.
Lisa Lipman, 59, was taken into custody about 9:20 a.m. Dec. 30, the Los Angeles Police Department said.
Lipman is accused of striking Ida Feller, of Toluca Lake, as Feller walked across Lankershim Boulevard at a crosswalk, police said.

Lipman, who had turned onto Lankershim Boulevard from Moorpark Street, continued driving after the crash, police said.
Police had asked the public for help to find the suspect and identified her through surveillance video obtained near the area, LAPD said.

Feller was taken to a hospital where she died.
Lipman was released the day of her arrest on $50,000 bail. Her court date was set for June 24.
