Firefighters Knock Down Transformer Blaze In Santa Monica

SANTA MONICA, CA — Firefighters responded to a transformer fire Tuesday afternoon in Santa Monica.

The incident was reported near 16th Street and Delaware Avenue about 3:45 p.m., according to Santa Monica fire officials. It was cleared by 4 p.m.

People were urged to avoid the area during the incident due to possible delays and hazards, officials said.
