2 Arrested In Deadly 2024 Shooting In East County

LEMON GROVE, CA — Two people were arrested this week in connection with a fatal shooting last year in San Diego's East County, authorities said.

Reality Born Grayson, 44, of Temecula and Richard Charles Lee, 47, of San Diego were arrested Tuesday and booked into San Diego Central Jail on suspicion of charges related to the murder of Darron Willie Singleton Jr., according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies responded to reports of gunfire shortly before 11 p.m. Sept. 18 in the 2200 block of Dain Court in Lemon Grove. They found Singleton lying in the street with multiple gunshot wounds to his torso, according to the Sheriff's Office. The 23-year-old Lemon Grove resident died at the scene.

"The San Diego Sheriff's Office extends its gratitude for the collaborative efforts of the San Diego Police Department, the Riverside Sheriff's Department, and the San Diego Regional Fugitive Task Force for their support in executing the arrests," the Sheriff's Office said in a statement. "We remain committed to seeking justice for Singleton Jr. and his family."
