2 Detained After Road-Rage Shooting In East County
One of two people riding a motorcycle opened fire at the driver of a pickup truck in El Cajon, police said.

EL CAJON, CA — Two people were arrested after an apparent road-rage shooting in San Diego's East County, authorities said.
One of two people riding a motorcycle opened fire at the driver of a pickup truck shortly before 3 p.m. Monday in the 700 block of Jamacha Road in El Cajon, according to the El Cajon Police Department.
The driver of the truck was not injured in the shooting, but a bullet hole was found in his truck, police Lt. Joe Crawford said.

Officers searching the area for the motorcyclist and the passenger spotted two people matching their descriptions nearby, Crawford said.
"As officers attempted to contact them, the two people walked away and went into a residence," Crawford said. "A motorcycle matching the description of the road rage was located in the driveway of the residence."

Deputies aboard a sheriff's helicopter spotted the suspects run out of the house and into a nearby drainage canal, where police took them into custody, Crawford said.
The incident remains under investigation. The suspects' names were not released.
"Officers are actively searching for the weapon used in this incident," Crawford said. "Officers learned the motorcycle was reported stolen out of San Diego."
