93-Year-Old Man Found Dead in East County Hangar

The body of a man who apparently died of natural causes was found inside a hangar at Gillespie Field in El Cajon.

The man—reported by NBC7 to be 93 years old—was found by a friend who entered the hangar around 5:40 p.m. on Saturday and called authorities, El Cajon police Lt. Rob Ransweiler said.

It was unclear when the man died.

Police were holding the scene, awaiting someone from the county medical examiner's office, Ransweiler said.

"It doesn't appear to be anything suspicious," he said.
