CALIFORNIA – Creatures, great and small, in California, we love them all. Animals from all over the Golden State have recently made headlines, and Patch has curated some of the most adorable and interesting stories.

The San Diego Zoo Safari Park welcomed a southern tamandua pup and a southern white rhino. A bald eagle and sea lions were rehabilitated and released. Firefighters rescued a dog from a cliff, while police officers saved pups trapped in a hot car. And one of the oldest southern sea otters on display in the world celebrated her 22nd birthday.
