LAKESIDE, CA – The body of a girl was found Wednesday in San Vicente Reservoir, five days after she fell into the water, authorities said.
The 12-year-old girl was in the bow of a vessel that was towing people on a tube when they fell into the water around 6 p.m. Saturday. The girl apparently fell into the water after the boat slowed down, according to San Diego police.
Investigators believe the vessel continued to move, possibly running her over, police said. The girl was wearing a life jacket, which rescuers later found in the water.

The girl was visiting from Canada with several members of her family. Her name was not immediately released.
