Crews contained a brush fire off Mission Gorge Road and Margerum Avenue in San Carlos Thursday afternoon, according to the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department.
The blaze, which scorched just over an acre, caused no reported structural damage and prompted no evacuations.
The fire, which was reported at 2:15 p.m., was located a couple miles west of the Santee city limits.
