Driver, 16, Badly Hurt In Miramar Ranch North Car Crash

A 16-year-old motorist was badly hurt Monday in a single-vehicle crash in Miramar Ranch North, authorities reported.

SAN DIEGO, CA — A 16-year-old motorist was badly hurt Monday in a single-vehicle crash in Miramar Ranch North, authorities reported.

The boy lost control of the 2006 Toyota Camry he was driving in the 11500 block of Scripps Ranch Boulevard about 6:30 a.m., according to San Diego police.

The eastbound car veered into a landscaped center median, where it struck a tree, Officer Sarah Foster said.

Paramedics took the driver to a hospital for treatment of serious injuries. A 25-year-old man who had been riding in the vehicle suffered minor injuries in the wreck, Foster said.
