East County's 'Largest Dog Festival' To Return To Santee
Fido Fest will feature dog adoption opportunities, arts and crafts, agility courses, demonstrations and other activities.

SANTEE, CA — Santee's paw-some Fido Fest is returning to Santee, promising festivities and fun for dogs and dog lovers alike.
The annual event, billed as "East County's largest dog festival," will feature dog adoption opportunities, arts and crafts, agility courses, demonstrations, giveaways and other activities.
"Fido Fest is a family-friendly event designed to celebrate the bond between dogs and their humans," a news release from the city said. "Whether you're a proud pet parent, a dog enthusiast, or simply looking for a fun day out, Fido Fest 2025 is the place to be!"

The festival will offer arts and crafts, a pet costume contest, dog agility courses, and demonstrations by the San Diego County Sheriff's Office's K-9 Unit and the Santee Fire Department's search and rescue dog.
Attendees can explore pet-friendly products, services and treats from more than 50 vendors at the event's vendor village. The festival's adoption alley will have dogs from more than 20 local shelters looking for their forever homes. The dog wellness zone will offer pet licensing, free microchipping, and tips from veterinarians and pet health experts.

There will also be a donation drive for unopened dog food, bedding, blankets, new toys and other items that will get donated to the rescue organizations that participate in the event. Donors will be entered into an opportunity drawing.
Fido Fest will take place from 11 am. to 3 p.m. Feb. 22 at Town Center Community Park East at 550 Park Center Drive in Santee.
