Funds Needed For Santee Single-Mom Diagnosed With Leukemia

Loved ones are asking the public to donate to Zenora Parris as she fights the cancer.

SANTEE, CA -- A fundraising campaign was underway Monday for a Santee single-mom diagnosed with Leukemia. Zenora Parris, a full-time nurse and mother two two boys, has taken a break from work to battle the disease.

In the latest update on GoFundMe, loved ones said Parris was now in remission but will need help financially to pay for medical bills and support her family.

"She still has a long road to full recovery," the GoFundMe page said. "In the next few weeks there will be an additional round of chemo and another month long hospital stay. She is staying strong!"

The fundraising webpage said Parris will be away from work for at least six months.

"I would like to take as much worry off of her as I can so she can focus on healing," the GoFundMe said. "I would love for her to have a little financial cushion in hopes that it can take one worry off of her mind. Any amount would be greatly appreciated no amount is too small."
