Heat Advisory Issued For Santee
Residents should drink plenty of fluids, stay in air-conditioned rooms, stay out of the sun, and check on relatives and neighbors.
SANTEE, CA — It's going to heat up this weekend in Santee and across San Diego County.
The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory and an excessive heat watch for parts of the county.
A heat advisory will be in effect from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday for the valleys, where temperatures are expected to reach up to 101 degrees in the far inland areas, according to the NWS. Temperatures are forecast to reach 89 degrees Saturday in Santee.

A heat advisory will be in effect at the same time for the mountains below 5,000 feet, where temperatures are expected in the 90s.
An excessive heat watch will be in effect from Saturday morning through Thursday evening for the deserts. Dangerously hot conditions are expected in the deserts, with temperatures up to 112 degrees over the weekend and up to 115 degrees early next week.
