Man Fatally Stabbed In East County

EL CAJON, CA — A man was fatally stabbed Tuesday in San Diego's East County, authorities said.

Offers responded at 2:41 a.m. to reports of a man suffering from a stab wound in the 200 block of Cypress Avenue in El Cajon, according to the El Cajon Police Department.

The man was taken to a hospital, where he died, Sgt. Brandon Stanley said. His identity was withheld pending family notification.

"The preliminary investigation revealed the victim and suspect are known to each other," Stanley said. "At this time, the suspect has not been located and remains outstanding."
