Poll: Should U.S. Grant Asylum to Chinese Dissident Chen Guangcheng?

Latest moves implies a deal in which Beijing allows travel, but case complicates relations.

Chen Guangcheng, the blind legal activist and dissident, might be allowed to travel to the United States on a student visa from the Chinese government. But his complicated case—putting the United States on the hot seat and President Obama in critics’ cross hairs—shows that dealing with Beijing can become a hot-button issue. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton  has told reporters she was “encouraged” by the Chinese actions, but said “there is more work to do” before we know what happens to Chen. What would you do?
