Randy's Donuts Slated To Open Soon In Kearny Mesa: Here's What To Know

KEARNY MESA, CA — Randy's Donuts is opening soon in San Diego. The store, near Santee, is located at Aero Drive and Murphy Canyon Road in Kearny Mesa and is slated to open on Wednesday, May 3.

The famed donut shop, based out of Los Angeles, is opening its only San Diego Store at 3737 Murphy Canyon Road, near the I-15 exit at Aero Drive.

The grand opening will allow 25 customers to receive free donuts for a year. How many and how often is not currently known, but if you visit on an opening day, you can receive some sort of door prize.

The inside of the restaurant will be decorated in the typical Randy's Donut orange and will feature a larger-than-life donut mural.

The flavors will be the same as one will find at other Randy's Donuts locations, like Inglewood (the original), El Segundo, Torrance, Downey, Pasadena, Santa Monica, Santa Ana and Costa Mesa, according to the new owner, and operator Emilio Támez, a San Diego resident.

"It is my great privilege to introduce these incredible donuts to the San Diego community," Támez said in a recent news release shared on Fox5. "The timing of the opening is exciting as we will be able to support celebrations happening throughout May and June from Mother's Day to graduations to end-of-year beach parties with coffee carafes and donuts by the dozen."
