Santee Announces Plan To Craft New Town Center Specific Plan
The new plan will feature an expansion of the city's Arts and Entertainment District

SANTEE, CA — Santee City Council approved a $1.06 million investment to craft a new Town Center Specific Plan during its March 22 meeting.
The city hopes the new Town Center Specific Plan which includes an expansion of Santee's Arts and Entertainment District will become a "vibrant focal point" for the city by providing "a balance of development with conservation, enhancement of the community's regional image and the creation of opportunities for people to live, work and play," Santee said in a statement regarding the goals of the new plan.
"Our project team is currently evaluating how this area can become a thriving cultural and recreational center, and a local and regional destination for residents and visitors to enjoy," the city said.
