Santee Brush Fire Burns 1/8 Acre at River Bottom

The fire was reported around 2 p.m. Sunday near River Park Drive and Cuyamaca Street.

A brush fire burned one-eighth of an acre near the Santee river bottom Sunday, but no structures were damaged.

The fire was reported around 2 p.m. Sunday near River Park Drive and Cuyamaca Street, according to a Heartland dispatcher. Two brush engines, two engines, one medic and a battalion chief responded.

The fire was out within an hour. A cause has not yet been determined.
