Santee Kiwanis Looks For Special Olympics Volunteers

More than 500 volunteers are needed for the event which is expected to see more than 700 athletes participating.

SANTEE, CA — The Kiwanis Club of Santee is looking for hundreds of volunteers to assist during the Special Olympics Southern California Games scheduled for May 20 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The more than 700 athletes are expected to compete in athletics, basketball, flag football, swimming and bocce during the event to be held at West Hills High School, 8756 Mast Boulevard in Santee, the city of Santee announced on its website.

According to the city, Kiwanis is looking to assemble more than 500 volunteers to make the event a successful one for the athletes.
