Six DUI Arrests at Checkpoint on Mast Boulevard Friday Night
The checkpoint had close to 700 vehicles pass through, with every driver contacted by a deputy.

Sheriff’s deputies arrested six people for suspicion of DUI at a checkpoint on Mast Boulevard Friday night, according to Sgt. Scott Hill. No other arrests were reported from the checkpoint.
Each of the 689 vehicles that approached the checkpoint at 8750 Mast Blvd. was contacted by a deputy, and 35 drivers were sent to a secondary inspection area for further evaluation, with eight field sobriety tests administered.
Seven vehicles were stored, and 11 other citations were issued by deputies, according to Hill.

The checkpoint was funded by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety.
