Medical Examiner IDs Poway Victim Of Route 56 Pileup, Pala Pedestrian Killed Over The Weekend
Two people were killed over the weekend, one pedestrian struck by a car and a second in a multi-vehicle pileup.

SAN DIEGO, CA — A Poway man and a Pala woman were identified after two deadly weekend crashes in San Diego County, the San Diego Medical Examiner announced Monday. Next of kin was first notified of each of their deaths before the announcement was made.
A 50-year-old Poway man, Tomasz Bordyczewski, died at the scene of a three-car pileup on Sate Route 56 near Salmon River Road in Rancho Penasquitos, the ME said. That collision occurred shortly before 10 p.m., they said.
The second fatality also occurred on Saturday, earlier in the day.

Just before 2 a.m. that same day, Karlene Luna, 31, of Pala, was fatally injured when a car struck her as she was walking alongside state Route 76, according to the county agency.
Paramedics pronounced her dead at the site of the accident west of Lilac Extension Road, the medical examiner reported.
