What Is There Too Much Of In Santee?

Moderation is key. As Patch editors, we often hear back from readers regarding which businesses they would like to see come to Santee. We also receive complaints about what there is too much of in your town - whether it be traffic, businesses, or crime-related.

So we asked our readers on Facebook, “What is there too much of in Santee?”

Here’s what you said:

• “Traffic is really bad in Santee. I’ve lived here since 98 and noticed how bad it’s got. Would like to see a movie place. Something down about the pan handlers. I get so tired of going into a store and coming out and people asking for money”

• “There’s no way OUT weekday mornings! I take Mast and get backed up almost to the lakes. Taking 52 from Magnolia is worse.”

• “Too many stoplights!”
  

• “Too much traffic! It takes 25 minutes to access the 52 from the Riverwalk community in the mornings. This is typically a 6-minute drive.”

• “Too much traffic. Even though I was going non freeway to San Carlos, the 52 on ramp traffic was backed up on Carlton Hills just north of Mission Gorge.”

• “Really miss the roller rink, movie theater and even though it’s not in Santee the speedway.”
