Man Killed In Saratoga Crash Was Los Gatos Resident

A man killed in a car crash off of state Highway 9 in Saratoga early Wednesday morning has been identified.

SARATOGA - A man killed in a car crash off of state Highway 9 in Saratoga early Wednesday morning has been identified as 51-year-old Kenneth Peltier of Los Gatos, according to the Santa Clara County medical examiner's office.

Peltier was driving a 2010 Infinity on southbound Highway 9 north of Austin Way around 12:30 a.m. when he drifted the vehicle to the left and into the center divider, California Highway Patrol officials said.

The car then struck a tree and rolled over multiple times before it came to rest on its roof near the center divider, CHP officials said.

The vehicle's air bags deployed and Peltier was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, according to the CHP.

An investigation showed alcohol didn't appear to be a factor in the crash, CHP officials said.
