Orchid Show, Sale Today at Saratoga's Westgate Mall

The Santa Clara Valley Orchid Society invites the public to its 62nd orchid show and sale 11 a.m.-5 p.m. today, Sunday, March 24 at Saratoga's Westgate Mall, 1600 Saratoga Ave.

More than 1,000 orchids will be on sale, many in bloom, with potting demos and growing advice from experts. Award-winning orchids will also be on display.

SCVOS is also welcoming those who enjoy the beauty, challenge, and enjoyment of growing orchids to join their organization.

The SCVOS has shared information on orchid culture, hosted renowned speakers and featured spectacular shows for more than 50 years, the nonprofit said on its website.

The 200 SCVOS members range from amateurs to professional growers with one aim—to enhance their enjoyment of orchids.

The public is invited to attend society meetings free of charge at 7 p.m. the first Wednesday of each month at the American Legion Hall, 1504 Minnesota Ave. in the Willow Glen neighborhood of San Jose.
