Livestock-Stealing Fugitive Arrested on Mountain of Charges
Shawn Fialho was pulled over on Friday and thrown in jail for a series of serious offenses.

Hey farmers, you can sleep a little easier at night now that an outstanding livestock thief has been put behind bars.
Shawn Fialho, 44, of Scotts Valley was arrested on a series of charges on Friday that included grand theft of livestock (horse/goat/etc.), forgery of a driver's license, obtaining fake DMV documents, driving with a restricted license for DUI and driving while addicted to drugs.
At 5:50 p.m., a CHP officer pulled over Fialho on northbound Highway 17 near Pasatiempo in his green Dodge pick-up truck for several code violations including a broken taillight, Officer Sarah Jackson said.

"It became apparent that he is addicted to drugs and had a suspended driver's license," Jackson said.
On March 25, Judge Paul Burdick issued multiple $25,000 arrest warrants for Fialho for stealing livestock and forging a driver's license. He was also arrested for DUI in mid-March, hence the suspended license.

"The officer also found marijuana on Fialho and he does not have a medical marijuana card," Jackson said.
There were two passengers in the truck with Fialho at the time of his arrest. Both found rides home and the truck was impounded and the marijuana was booked into evidence.
