Next School Year Calendar Approved — See Vacation Dates Here

The Scotts Valley Unified School District Board of Education unanimously approved next year's school calendar at its March 26 meeting, meaning local families can go ahead and start planning ahead for winter vacations, sports tournaments, etc.

The school board tries its best to coordinate the Scotts Valley school calendar with others around the county. Generally, spring break, winter break and Presidents' Week are the same or similar countywide. 

Start and end dates of the school year do vary, often depending on the length of winter break.

In the 2013-2014 school year, Scotts Valley students will begin on Aug. 28 and end on June 12.

Winter Break will begin Dec. 20 with school resuming Jan. 6. Spring break is set for the week beginning March 31.
