The Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Office is looking for qualified volunteers to work in various community service positions.

SANTA CRUZ - The Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Office is looking for qualified volunteers to work in various community service positions.

Sheriff's Office volunteers provide service and support to deputies in many different capacities.

Currently, volunteers assist in the Community Centers; Forensics & Coroner’s Division; Child Safety school program; Citizen Patrol Drivers; and soon, volunteers will assist with the YouAre Not Alone and Home Inspection community programs.

The Sheriff's office says the next Volunteer Training Academy will be held at the end of May.
