A man driving through Scotts Valley late at night with two broken tail lights was enough to catch the attention of Scotts Valley Police.

SCOTTS VALLEY - A man driving through Scotts Valley late at night with two broken tail lights was enough to catch the attention of a Scotts Valley Police officer.
According to the Scotts Valley Police Facebook page, Lucas Hudler was stopped by an officer about 11 p.m. on Wednesday, March 23. The officer called for backup as he made the stop.
A second officer arrived with Atlas, the police K9 dog.

Police say Atlas “alerted” on the stopped vehicle, indicating drugs were inside.
According to the post, a search of the car revealed one pound of hallucinogenic mushrooms.

Police say Lucas Hudler was arrested for transporting controlled substances; driving on a suspended license; and for an outstanding warrant for his arrest.
